SubjectWell Announces Matthias Roos as New Director of Scientific Affairs

AUSTIN, Texas (March 10, 2025) – SubjectWell, a company transforming patient recruitment by addressing the greatest challenges in clinical development, today announced that Matthias Roos will join the organization as Director of Scientific Affairs. In this role, he will lead global research initiatives and thought leadership programs that drive transformation for sponsors, clinical research organizations (CROs), and clinical sites. With extensive experience in clinical trial technology, consulting, and strategic leadership, Matthias brings a wealth of expertise to SubjectWell.

Matthias’ expertise spans healthcare, pharmaceuticals, and clinical trial technology. Most recently, he served as Director of Strategy and a member of the management board at Climedo, where he was responsible for driving launch excellence and agile solutions for Real-World Evidence (RWE) and non-interventional prospective studies (NIS). Prior to Climedo, Matthias worked as a Senior Consultant for McKinsey & Company, advising pharmaceutical, automotive, engineering, and enterprise technology clients on corporate strategy, operations, and research and development (R&D).

 

Roos holds a Ph.D. in Physics from The Martin Luther University of Halle-Wittenberg and served as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), with five peer-reviewed publications. In 2017, he was honored with the Ernst Award from the German Chemical Society and received a postdoctoral fellowship from the German National Academy of Sciences Leopoldina. Over the course of his career, he has published 15 scientific papers and accumulated more than 600 citations.
